The GemCart started about twelve years ago as a family searched and searched for the perfect ecommerce solution. The path through ecommerce good and bad was long and very enlightening.
It was determined that in order to get full control of the shopping cart and have it meet our needs, it would have to be built from the ground up, according to what we knew worked. This evolved over the years as the GemCart was developed and polished.
Is it finished? Never.
Our philosophy is to Think Big, Start Small and Move Fast! With that in mind we developed TheGemCart to be a living, breathing shopping cart to help meet the needs of other store owners with full scalability to grow as your business grows. Its easy to deploy, easy to use and easy to setup and maintain.
What is TheGemCart
TheGemCart is an Oscommerce based application, built on the newest releases of Oscommerce open-source software. It is heavily modified to adapt to most retail environment needs.

When will it be Available?
Presently, the ecommerce cart is being used by hundreds of websites that are exclusively offered the opportunity to use our cart. Its game ready but not available to the public presently until we finish the public items. Public items such as a forum, blog, installer and support center. When that is finished, we will launch the shopping cart for full public downloads.
If you are a developer and interested in helping us develop and initiate the final beta-testing for launch, email us! Beta-testing in this instance means final testing before release to the general public.
We are very excited to be launching this new open-source ecommerce shopping cart solution. We anticipate that it will quickly become one of the top two, if not top shopping cart preferred software in the marketplace.
